Terms of Use

Please read this short agreement before using AuraFret.

Music guidance is an estimate. Chord, key, tempo, beat, likely-next-chord, capo, and Suggested Strumming Pattern results can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Results vary with recording quality, background noise, vocals and other instruments, microphone and device characteristics, tuning, arrangement, and overlapping sounds. Check musical guidance yourself whenever accuracy matters.

Live Practice analyzes nearby sound locally only while its screen is active. Live Practice and Tuner microphone audio is processed in memory and discarded, and their capture stops when the app is no longer visible. Learn & Analyze Song records only after you start it, pauses capture when the app is no longer visible, and keeps the completed recording privately on this device so you can play it back, review it, and reanalyze it later. A completed analysis is staged as a private local draft before Song Ready so it can be recovered after an app restart; it does not appear in Saved Songs until you choose Save. Discarding a new unsaved song map or deleting a saved song also deletes its retained recording. Imported practice audio remains on your device. Practice history stores only local session metadata such as date, mode, duration, confidence-qualified tempo/key/capo values, and chord names; weak values are omitted, and history does not store Live or Tuner microphone audio, imported-audio content, paths, or links. AuraFret has no account, cloud backup, analytics, or audio upload feature. Developer builds may log bounded chord and prediction timing metadata locally for testing, never raw audio; release builds do not emit those timing records.

Learning Path saves your self-reported milestone completions, checklists, and last viewed lesson privately on this device. It does not grade your playing or guarantee learning outcomes.

Corrections you make to a song map, estimated key, tempo, or Recommended Capo are stored locally with that saved song. The original on-device estimates remain available for comparison and reanalysis. AuraFret does not download, rip, extract, or intercept audio from YouTube, Spotify, or other streaming services; Live Practice only analyzes sound that reaches the phone microphone, and Local Audio analyzes only a file you explicitly choose.

Backing tracks and practice tools are aids, not a promise of musical accuracy, progress, compatibility, or uninterrupted availability. You are responsible for the music and other content you play, import, share, or analyze, including copyright, licences, permissions, and third-party platform terms.

Full access requires an active Google Play subscription or evaluation access explicitly authorized by DJ Apps Studio. Authorized review access unlocks the same tools without payment, has no expiry, and can be turned off in Subscription options. It does not start, change or cancel a Google Play subscription. Its code verifier is stored privately on the device; the entered code is not retained or uploaded. Choose a monthly or yearly plan before purchasing. A 15-day free trial applies only when Google Play offers it to your account and the purchase screen states those terms. After an eligible trial, Google Play automatically charges the selected plan at the price and frequency shown unless you cancel. Cancel in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. Trial cancellation keeps access until the trial ends; later cancellation normally keeps access until the current paid period ends. Uninstalling AuraFret does not cancel a subscription. Pending or cancelled purchase dialogs do not grant access.

After subscription access ends, saved results and history remain viewable and deletable; new premium playback, practice, analysis and content editing require access. Work already started may finish and be saved. Restore purchases checks your Google Play account for access; it does not recover local songs, recordings or history. There is no automatic cloud backup. Settings offers optional saved-song ZIP backup and restore, including retained recordings. Exported files are unencrypted; your selected storage provider may upload them. Deleting a song in the app does not delete exported copies. Backups exclude drafts, history, learning progress, settings and subscriptions. A previous installation or its local data does not grant paid access; saved results and deletion remain available.

Google Play processes billing and payment information. The app receives subscription status and purchase tokens in memory for access and acknowledgement, not card details. The Play billing service uses network access; audio and song data are not sent to it. Local orientation and agreement records are separate from purchases. An old installation marker, if present from a testing build, is ignored. After a successful Play check, temporary check failures can retain access for up to 24 hours in the same process; restarting the app requires a new Play check. Google Play provides authoritative billing and end-date information.

Optional app-update checks use Google Play, which processes device metadata, the installed app version and installed module information to determine update availability and size. Audio, songs and learning progress are not sent to this service. Updates require your action; recording and playback are not interrupted by update prompts. Later stores only an offered version code and timestamp locally for a 24-hour reminder delay. Settings lets you check again. Update checks need Play connectivity and do not change subscription access or local song data.

The app is provided as available. To the extent allowed by law, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or compatible with every device or setup. We are not liable for losses arising from use of the app except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in this agreement removes mandatory consumer or other statutory rights.
