From a thought to a journal

Less to do. More to remember.

01 / CAPTURE

Say it while it’s fresh.

Use your watch for a quick spoken entry, or your phone for voice and typing. Pause when you need a moment. Finish when you’re ready.

02 / REVISIT

Find the thread again.

Browse your phone library, search your words and favorite journals you want to return to. Your watch shows the latest pending recording and safely queues up to 20.

03 / KEEP

Take your words with you.

Share a journal, export readable text or Markdown, or make a manual backup to a destination you choose.

Your wrist. Your phone.

A small companion
for everyday thoughts.

Capture on your watch without reaching for your phone. With phone Premium active and the devices connected, WristScribe saves queued recordings into your phone library. Only confirmed recordings leave the watch queue.

The phone owns your journals and files new watch recordings into its selected journal when they sync. Phone captures and edits stay on the phone. Sync is not a cloud backup.

Personal by design.

Journals live in private app storage. WristScribe has no developer-operated journal server and does not save audio recordings.

Speech recognition is handled by your device’s provider and may process audio online. Shared files and plaintext backups are controlled by the destination you choose.

Good to know

A few answers before you begin.

Does WristScribe work without a watch?

Yes. Use voice or typed capture on your Android phone. Wear OS is a separate companion app. Watch recording is free, with a queue of 20 unsynced recordings and no automatic overwrite. Phone Premium is required for new sync. Only the phone checks subscription access for its premium features.

How do I install the phone and watch apps?

Install WristScribe on your Android phone from Google Play. Pair your Wear OS watch using its usual companion app and use the same Google account in Play on both devices. In the WristScribe listing, use the device selector beside Install, or Install on more devices, to select your watch. You can also install from Play on the watch. Each device needs its own installation.

Open both apps and check their connection. Watch recording is free up to 20 unsynced recordings without overwrite. Purchase or restore Premium on the phone to sync new recordings and create or edit phone journals. During closed testing, your account must be invited to both phone and watch tests and opt in before installing.

Can I use it offline?

Saved journals are stored locally. Speech availability depends on the recognition service and installed languages. Transfers wait for connectivity. Previously verified phone premium access has a bounded offline allowance; a restart or expired allowance can require another Play check.

Does it record audio?

No. WristScribe keeps text, not audio recordings. The Android speech provider may use online processing under its own settings and privacy terms.

Is my journal backed up automatically?

No. Create a manual backup on the phone and keep it somewhere safe. Sync, a paired watch and a local emergency restore copy do not replace an off-device backup. Backup files are plaintext.

How do subscriptions and cancellation work?

Watch recording is free and stops at 20 unsynced recordings without overwriting anything. Syncing to the phone, phone creation, editing, favorites and backup restore require Premium. Google Play shows available plans, prices and eligible offers before purchase. Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Uninstalling does not cancel it. When access ends, new sync pauses. Reading, sharing, exporting and making a backup of saved journals remain available. Read the User Agreement.

Where can I get help or ask a privacy question?

Open WristScribe’s Google Play listing and use the publisher contact under App support. Include your app version and device type. Please do not send private journals, passwords or payment details.
